Build for both platforms
Reuse suitable screens, validation and business logic rather than implementing everything twice. The amount of shared code depends on the product.
React Native app development
Build a new mobile product or move an existing app forward with senior React Native engineering. Share product logic across platforms while keeping the native capabilities your users need.

What is React Native?
React Native is an open-source framework for building mobile applications using React and JavaScript or TypeScript. Its components render to native platform UI. An app can share screens and business logic across iOS and Android, with native code and platform-specific behaviour added where needed.

Why use it?
Reuse suitable screens, validation and business logic rather than implementing everything twice. The amount of shared code depends on the product.
A shared foundation can reduce duplicated feature work and make behaviour easier to keep consistent. Each platform still needs testing and its own release.
Integrate cameras, notifications, location and other device APIs using compatible libraries or custom native modules, with the required permissions.
Teams familiar with React and TypeScript can reuse their knowledge. Mobile navigation, accessibility, performance and native builds still need specialist attention.
Bring authentication, payments and backend APIs into the app. The mobile experience and service layer are designed together around your users’ workflows.
Release a defined set of useful features and extend the product over time. React Native can support both new apps and selected features within existing native apps.
Let’s assess your features, integrations and platform requirements.
Real-world adoption
The official showcase lists Shopify’s mobile apps, Microsoft products including Outlook and Teams, Amazon Shopping, and Meta apps including Facebook Ads Manager. Adoption can cover an entire app or selected experiences; it does not mean every listed product is entirely React Native.
Choose it for the right reasons
Customer portals, booking and membership apps, commerce, dashboards and products that need similar workflows on iOS and Android. We can use Expo where its tooling fits the project.
Demanding graphics, unusual hardware SDKs, intensive background processing or deeply platform-specific experiences may need substantial native work or another approach. Shared code does not remove OS differences, upgrades or app-store requirements.
Working with Marketplace Labs
Agree the user journeys, integrations, platform requirements and acceptance criteria. Establish whether React Native fits before committing to the build.
Implement the interface and connected workflows, then validate on iOS and Android. Address loading, errors, accessibility and performance as part of delivery.
Prepare the agreed app-store releases, document the setup and explain how your team can maintain and extend the product.
Already have an app? We can scope a feature, integration or technical improvement. Explore engineering delivery or read our React Native fitness app guide.
Discuss a feature, integration or improvement for your existing React Native product.
Let’s talk
Tell us what your app needs to do, whether it’s a new build or an existing product, and your preferred timing. We’ll discuss the scope, technical fit and a useful next step.
